Jerilee Claydon

Clinical Psychotherapist MBACP UKCP (Accred) Clinical Director

I am a senior qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor working with adults, young people and couples.

Psychotherapy explores emotions, beliefs, thoughts and behaviours. Together through the therapeutic relationship we can gain a new perspective to make life more manageable, understand its purpose, meaning and promote change.

My work is integrative; meaning I weave a variety of therapies to suit each client, each relationship will be unique depending upon your needs.
I am pragmatic and realistic to life's every day demands, I combine my knowledge of psychoanalytical theory and human psychology to find the most suitable method to help you.

I firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore their emotions. No concern or thought is too big or too small. Perhaps you are in a crisis, a bereavement, life feels complicated, or you just want to learn more about yourself. Every one of us experiences hundreds of emotions daily, the more we learn about them the more accepting we can become of ourselves and others.

Our initial meeting would be an assessment to ensure my experience matches your needs, at this point we can discuss any questions you may have.

Should you choose to start therapy we would meet once a week for a 50 minute session, this takes place in a private, quaint and comfortable, safe space.

Some clients choose short-term therapy sessions and others longer term. We can discuss what would be more helpful for you during the assessment.

If you are unable to make a session face to face, Skype is a convenient effective alternative, I work with many clients internationally and throughout the UK.

An area of personal interest and expertise is working with anxiety-related issues, young professionals, and expectant parents.

I also work with media personalities and professional league footballers.
