Maria Lawrence
Psychotherapist, MBACP
Life can present us with many challenges. Sometimes, the thought of facing our difficulties alone can be overwhelming, but it may be hard to know where to turn for support. My aim as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist is to work collaboratively with you, drawing from a wide range of resources and therapeutic disciplines, to find the approach that feels right for you. Working together in this tailored way, we will be able to recognise your issues, identify your goals, and explore ways in which you may start moving towards a happier, peaceful and more fulfilled way of living.
There may be a current situation you find yourself struggling with, or you may feel events of the past are holding you back. I can offer you a non-judgemental, empathic and respectful space in which to explore your feelings and consider potential solutions.
I understand that seeking support can be difficult, and that you may have reservations about accessing therapy. I also believe in the importance of finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable. With this in mind, I offer a free-of-charge initial consultation, via telephone or Skype, which will help us decide how we might work together, should you wish to proceed.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, and work with children, young people and adults.
